The KanPas MA-46-FS Stable is a high-performance thumb compass that combines the most stable needle technology in the MA series with an ergonomically designed base plate. Stable damping ensures that the needle remains stable even in very demanding terrain and at high speeds.

The model uses the same acclaimed 45 mm needle case as the MA-45-FS model, but its base plate design has been optimized to provide a slightly different feel and thumb position. You can choose the needle case option that suits your needs for the compass:

Selectable needle case options:

• Clear: Completely clear and minimalist case without a scale. Provides the best possible visibility of map details directly under the needle.
• Degree: Traditional 0–360° scale. Designed for technical orienteering, where accurate direction finding and degree reading are required.
• Rainbow: Visual color-coded scale. Speeds up the perception and memorization of direction using colors, which is a great advantage in fast-paced competition situations.
